Students from Edmond Visit Kaleo

On June 5, 2024, a youth group of 80 students from Edmond Church of Christ gathered at The Kaleo Foundation headquarters to make a powerful impact in their community by creating care packages known as “Hope Packs.” This event was a testament to the students’ dedication to helping those in need, showcasing the power of community and youth-driven service.

The Kaleo Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to fighting food insecurity and supporting struggling families, facilitated this event, supplying all the necessary materials for the care packages. Under the guidance of foundation staff, students assembled essential items like non-perishable foods, hygiene products, and other necessities into the Hope Packs. Each care package was carefully crafted to meet the immediate needs of local families facing economic hardship.

The event was not only productive but also an inspiring experience for the youth involved. By working together, they saw firsthand the positive impact that collective effort can have on their community. The students left with a sense of accomplishment, knowing they had contributed to a cause much larger than themselves. Events like these are a core part of The Kaleo Foundation’s mission, empowering younger generations to take an active role in creating positive change and offering tangible help to those in need.
