Community Unites to help the children of Stroud, Oklahoma

This summer, First Assembly of God, led by Pastor Jeremy Jackson, is proud to partner with the Kaleo Foundation to address a crucial need in our community: providing meals for children during the summer months. Many kids who receive lunch during the school year often go without adequate meals once school is out.

To combat this, we’ve have initiated a summer lunch program that ensures school-aged children in Stroud receive nutritious lunches throughout the week. This initiative is a collaborative effort involving local churches—including the United Methodist Church, First Baptist Church, and the Christian Church—as well as our food pantry and countless dedicated volunteers from the community.

Each week, we distribute food items that support this mission, ensuring that children have access to lunch every day. This program is not just about food; it’s about fostering community spirit and supporting our children. We are grateful for the Kaleo Foundation’s support, which has made this effort possible.

Together, we are making a meaningful impact in the lives of our local youth and bridging the gap in food security during the summer months. Thank you to everyone involved for your generosity and commitment!
