On October 7th, 2024, we had the blessing of visiting McCord Elementary School to bring some joy, care, and support to the students and staff. Located in the rural heart of Osage County, McCord Elementary serves around 320 students from pre-K through sixth grade, as well as 48 dedicated staff members. This Title 1 school is a cornerstone for many families in the area, and we were thrilled to play a role in bringing a little extra support to their community.
This incredible day of giving would not have been possible without the partnership and generosity of The Kaleo Foundation and Glad Tidings Assembly of God, who rallied together with contributors and volunteers to make it all happen. Thanks to their donations, we were able to deliver bags filled with snacks, drinks, and food for each student and staff member—a total of 368 Hope bags! The students’ smiles, laughter, and excitement brought a joyful energy to the school and reminded us of the power of community.
The effort was made possible through the hands and hearts of everyone at Glad Tidings Assembly of God, who helped organize the event and distribute the bags, making each student and staff member feel valued and seen. Our team also had the chance to connect with members of the McCord Sheriff’s Department, who were on-site that day. The sheriffs, like us, were thrilled to witness the outpouring of support, and we were even able to provide Hope bags for the officers as well.
Reflecting on this experience, we are reminded of the incredible impact we can make together. Without The Kaleo Foundation, Glad Tidings Assembly of God, and the many volunteers who showed up and gave their time, none of this would have been possible. Their support is what allowed us to meet the needs of children, families, teachers, and officers in such a meaningful way. This initiative strengthens our Osage County community, bringing hope and blessings where they’re needed most.
